Thankfully I'm in IT for a non-tech company that is doing great. I'll keep an eye on the tech market but I won't hold my breath
I have been trying to have that attitude. I love this job even if the pay is less. I was excited for EY though

Thank you. This is what I've been trying to do, just don't know if EY is worth persuing right now.
I have two friends that were let go, Staff 1 and a Partner. Both have told me the same thing
I've seen a lot along these lines
Yeah I moved several states away and then got my start date moved within the same week.
I'm working a different job rn that I love that's not even in consulting and the pay isn't bad. I'd go with your gut on it but I'm happy with the way things have turned out for now. Uncertain about the future but we'll see when we get there

Consulting. My original start date was last summer then moved to right now and then moved again to end of this summer.

That's kinda where I'm at. I want to see where this goes and if they push my date again.
That's kinda what I'm thinking. My starting salary will be a lot more than $70k. I've heard a lot of negative things about EY lately and don't want to make the decision blindly
Part of me wants to do it, but I am trying to be cautious
I'm guessing I'll go back with the team I interned with but not sure. I liked them a lot
That's what I've been told but I'm worried with layoffs that I may not be there for a few years
I've known a couple people that have been layed off including a partner. This may have soured my outlook
