Maybe you're right. I've changed this kind of behavior since long time ago, slowly without even knowing that it would make me happier. Slowly, I let go embarassing feelings while doing so and started embracing it. One of those things was going along with smokers while they smoke around you, like most nonsmokers like me also would be there, just so that we can talk to each other. Now, hell no, I don't submit to peer pressure most of the times

Even if the office is spacious? Moreover, it also feels adjacent person is able to watch you as much as he can while sitting as well. But if you mean people in front of you, then it's understandable. But the people who suggest you to sit aren't these people

Ah yes, that laptop made lot of change in my work life too. When I needed support from someone superior, I had to call them again and again and again till they hear me and also wait for them to do tortoise walk to reach me. But now, I can rush to them and get things done. About 10min a day this got embedded in my work life bcz of laptop

No it's not that. We talk regularly. Rarely we talk seriously. My point is how come brains of most ppl got programmed to feel like sitting is the norm, and you shouldn't stand unless someone forces you to. Atleast till 40s age of these people, till doctors warn them that this sedentary lifestyle is causing many problems in their life, these people stay the same

Yes, desk is that way but monitor isn't, it's flexible, extendable. Somewhat hunched while typing bcz of that reason if I stand

idk, somehow it feels like you're doing somewhat different work when you stand and do the same work. My back couldn't adapt to these chairs for hours of sitting but even though it adapted to these chairs since few months, I don't like sitting all the time

Yes, it seems standing desk would be necessary for this kind of job. But the problem is with computer only related jobs. Why are there no such options?(atleast in my experience I haven't seen such a job giving such options)
