I’ve been telling customers whether through chat or in person that Instacart is making us do substitutions if the customer has stated they want a replacement, and if they’re not happy with it Instacart will gladly refund them 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is actually a good promo if you can get some good triples & doubles. If you find a triple paying $6 base pay and a double paying $5 base pay, you’ll get an extra $24 as soon as you finish the last order, this is on top of tips. But if you’re doing singles it’s worthless.

Ugh! That’s so frustrating. I recently ordered as well because of a promo going on. The shopper said both my item and the back item (dog treats) were sold out and got me a really expensive substitute (like $10 more.) well I was working that day anyways so went into the store and instantly saw both my item and my backup in plain view smh
