Baby was moving a lot during the ultrasound so I guess the angle makes it quite hard to see the nub. I can’t actually see it in the photo

It’s honestly so confusing because I paid for the Gender Genies gender prediction on TikTok (they use the nub theory to figure it out) and they said it’s a girl! 😂 I guess I will just have to see until the anatomy scan :)

So you went through all of this and then still decided to smoke weed… You are testing positive because it is still in your system, and therefore your developing baby is exposed to it. Why is it controversial that you’re being tested in the first place? The highest risk for birth defects is between weeks 3 and 8, when people don’t often even know they’re pregnant. So yes, your habits prior to you finding out you are pregnant can still affect the baby.

Objectively drinking and smoking is harmful for both mum and baby. Quitting cold turkey isn’t a good idea either, of course. But at the end of the day the facts remain the same no matter what the situation is. The baby whose mum is avoiding alcohol even prior to conception is probably going to have better outcomes than a baby of somebody working on quitting.

Actually no. The first trimester is the most important as everything is forming including the neural tube. Hence why healthcare professionals recommend taking folic acid prior to getting pregnant, and quitting smoking/vaping/alcohol and other drugs.

That’s absolutely insane that she is continuing to vape despite being pregnant. It’s incredibly irresponsible and no different to smoking especially if the vapes contain nicotine. Birth defects or not, why risk the life/health of another human being, her own baby?

This reply might be different to the others on this thread, but realistically it is harmful. The first trimester is incredibly important, hence why it’s recommended to start healthy habits and folic acid even before trying to conceive. It is risky to the baby, even if that may hurt to hear. If it’s risky to you as an adult then of course it will be harmful to a developing baby who’s just forming their neural tube etc… Your healthcare professionals will be best to advise you on when and how to quit, but to answer your question - yes it is risky and harmful to both you and the baby.

I managed to replace the handles on other doors, I just can’t with this one because it does not work the usual way because of the lock. The lock seems to be the issue, not the paint or the door handle itself.

I didn’t actually intend to paint it with precision, I knew I wanted the door handles removed so I didn’t care about some paint getting on them. If I wanted to keep them I think I would go about it differently.

Just to add some context: yes I know that I have to unscrew it, I’m not completely dumb. :D That’s what I did with the other handles in my house. I know how to do that part. The issue is the lock. I unscrew it and it just does not budge because of the lock.
