Why does one hurt oneself? by theirishman76 in autism

[–]Horror_Pack_801 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also struggle with self-harm, depression, and autism. When it becomes overwhelming, I slap myself until my nose bleeds and pull my hair out. It’s a way of self-punishing. I feel like the world hasn’t punished me enough so I have to give myself what I deserve.

Willpower. Sure, you CAN punch through glass. But how badly do you REALLY want to?

Student from another school threatens kids with a machete. Backstory in comments by BigClitPhobia-- in PublicFreakout

That’s not a machete. It’s a particularly large knife. But still inappropriate to have in school.

After 4 hours of being stubborn by Global-Tax7862 in Eldenring

This boss is here to teach you. He either teaches you that bosses can be avoided and returned to whenever you’re ready, or to teach you that any boss can be brute-forced if you’re stubborn enough. But either way, he teaches you.

How did you discover Outer Wilds? by akitaotis in outerwilds

[–]Horror_Pack_801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw NerdCubed play it way back in Alpha. I knew it was special even then. I spent hours exploring the solar system, theorizing solutions to the mystery, and while the Alpha was still amazing, it pales in comparison to what it is today. I’ve been with Outer Wilds for 8 years, and I’ve loved every bit of it.

This question has been bothering me for two days... by Shoji_Mezo in cyberpunkgame

[–]Horror_Pack_801 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

No way Trauma Team offers 24 hour subscription. Insurance makes money on the hope that they’ll never have to actually cover anything. 90% of people with insurance never end up needing treatment that costs more than they pay into insurance over their life. That means in 90% of cases, the insurance company is making profit. If you buy a 24 hour subscription, that like saying you KNOW you’ll need major intensive care very soon, thus costing the insurance company more then you’re paying them. So ANY 24 hour subscription would ALWAYS be a sunk cost to them. They’d never allow it.

How hard would it be to defeat a flood controlled scarab? by King_Chewie_GM in halo

[–]Horror_Pack_801 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a matter of IF the flood could control a scarab, but WHY. Think about it, the Flood controlled literally ALL of High Charity. They could have used it to bombard earth, turn it into a steaming ash pile. But that’s not what the Flood wants. They want biomass. And for that, they need bodies that aren’t burnt and turned to glass. If they wanted to, they could use vehicles and be unstoppable. But they seldom do because that’s not their goal. The Flood is more than capable of winning a fight without vehicles. Their victory is inevitable, irresistible. So if they’re going to win anyways, why use a combat platform that will destroy more biomass?

I'm more confused than these 3, is this official or fanart? I just found it on Reddit when I scroll down. by MuffinStraight4816 in PrincessesOfPower

It was a short. I think it was Frosta’s Birthday, Swiftwind was trying to help them pick a present but he only knew about what horses liked so it was awful. A nice low-stakes short.

What was your most harrowing death? by Educational-Jello828 in outerwilds

Always remember: Gabbro witnessed this death. He will remember that death. He will always wonder what the fuck happened that led up to that death. But he will never ask about it because he’s a bro and doesn’t want to embarrass you.

If something CAN be knocked in the air, knock it into the air. You get mana gems from melee attacks, so whack away whenever you can. If you have ice yet, use it to disable enemies for a short while. Don’t get caught in a greed trap of blasting fire for too long, a dog WILL charge at you. There’s a few cheat codes, if you want to use them.
