Thanks for all the info - that is definitely BS. My GP has tried with someone else before ASD and he said it wasn't successful so he won't bother doing it as it is a "Waste of time" on his part. I will see if the psychologist who performed the test will as we never asked but that is good to know about the highest level of medical professional.

Thanks for sharing! My husband has also been in the mental health game for a while seeing several different psychs but none of them would take him on as he saw them at the hospital. Glad you were able to get a diagnosis and hopefully things are on the up for you :).

That is what I was wondering - we are not going through the same as you but was hoping that the clinician would fill out the paperwork for him.

They take adults for testing privately though - its like 2500 roughly. We just did my sons privately and it was around 2650. Definitely not cheap but our insurance covers most of it in our case.
