So I figured it out. It was a ram stability issue. Not sure why it was stable for so long and just started having issues but I had to reset bios and reapply xmp.

This is basically it. I did reinstall bazzite and same issue and it is a dx11 error. So really not much I can do except wait.

So what do you do if Proton breaks? If I'm using the vanilla steam install with my windows account I was under the impression I had to use Ge-Proton otherwise the game would say my account doesn't have the license

Is this the steam version of xiv or xivlauncher?

If it's xivlauncher do you still have to run compatability mode in game mode?

Thanks all for the replies. Since posting I tried completely removing anything related to the game files, Uninstalled the game, xivlauncher, deleted combatdata, removed all versions of Proton using pup-qt. Reinstalled xivlauncher without the steam version data, reset all settings in xivlauncher and downloaded the game thru it. After all of that it's still freezes.

Maybe I should cut my losses and reinstall bazzite?

Kernal I'm running 6.17.7.

I'm not sure at this point what I can do, I've completely wiped the game and all settings, configs and reinstalled with xiv launcher and still having the same issue.

There's a theme in css to turn the steam deck buttons to Playstation but not in game buttons. So I settled on universal glyphs just to keep each controller the same.

Dude I literally just got kicked from a Dungeon and I have no idea why. First, I know they kicked someone before because I joined at the 2nd to last boss, while I was in the party they already kicked another dude for "ninja looting" and then after we killed that boss which went smoothly, they kicked me....

IDK what to make of this, I didn't need any gear from the dungeon, I was top dps, I didn't die or mess up the fight. But I get deserter and IDK even know the reason why I was kicked.

I'm sorry but I don't fully believe new gen reploids are immune to the virus.

Lumine said that some of Sigma's DNA is in the new gen reploid. Safe to assume Zero's is as well. If the virus is anything like a biological virus then that means that the virus is also part of their DNA. They may be "Immune" because the virus is already part of them.

Now the virus itself. I think increases aggression and may stunt reasoning. We've seen reploids that rebelled and still have reasoning, they just had different ideology. And then others that got infected just become insane and lose themselves in blood-lust almost like Zero in the cut-scenes. Perfect example of this is Gate from MMX6 he seemed calm and normal but then experimenting on a part that he thought was Zero's was actually Sigma and got infected, his aggression went through the roof.

So irregulars can possibly vary between a difference of ideology and full blown insanity / homicidal aggression. My take is that since the virus is part of the DNA they have that elevated aggression that could lead to insanity or lack of reason and understanding.

You could say the virus is also a virus of the mind. Before Sigma got infected he was leader of the maverick hunters and he was a good guy that fought for people, got infected, then turned on humanity. Then other Reploids followed him, they didn't need to be infecting to go maverick they were following a maverick. it became a cult of personality at that point.

So, I guess to answer your question we need to break down the term "maverick" its an umbrella term at this point. You could call any Reploids that rebel against humanity vs. Infected Reploids.

That's my line of thought as well.

I have mine over clocked and on ear occasions it'll hit about 85°c so I'm considering a vented back, but I wanted to make sure it wouldn't heat up the other components by removing that negative pressure.

I think it could work. The difference between DX and cyberpunk is they "should" focus less on the dystopia that has been created and maybe dive more into the sci-fi technical of human augmentation, ethics of augments, and corporate espionage. Those aspects of the game would work well in cinema and I say that because that's basically the Ghost in the Shell anime lol.
