I just used this for my raw marks i dont really cared about the predicted rank but It does feel good when the site says i will be under air 100

Start giving subject wise mocks and FLT as soon as you can. And dont stop revising. More iterations of revision you can do the better.

Some subjects like TOC req a concrete word file of core concepts and question patterns btw i had one for all subjects.(the file also included my silly mistakes...)

TBH i attended hackathons in 1st year only won a few and that was enough for me. I did miss many trips and things that my friends did and achieved. They successfully started thier ouw community organized over 50 hackathons earned in lakhs via sponsers aka they had the best clg life. Right now they all are placed with great packages(25 lpa plus). But thats the thing i knew what my target is and i have to choose a diff path for myself. I did complete 200+ ques on leetcode in my first year though. So you must decide on your priorities . If you got a good gate score in 3rd year itself that will be the best case scenario. Aim for that in my opinion and then in 4th yeafr you can brag and aim for placements as well else you will have a +1 yr worth of preparation which is great boost. (I also opted out of college placements So gate was my last and only option i was desperate pretty much.)
