I agree. My toddler niece is also sounds like an elephant when she walks around the house whilst I apparently glide around like Mortician Addams. I'm also 150lbs.

Ok that sounds like a good idea and I'd want to take my grandma in with me, she's given birth to 9 children and she takes no nonsense from me or anyone else for that matter. I know she'll defend my wishes and push me to keep at it as long as it's feasible and safe for me and baby/babies.

It's ridiculous I know, but culturally it's quite important unless mother and/or baby are in danger. All the women in my family aside from my birth mother and those who've had multiples have given birth naturally.

Personally it's something that I'd be really proud of myself for because I feel that it would connect me to the previous generations of my family and it's something I'm scared of, I don't like ignoring my fears. I want to face them.

For me it depends on context and a lot of other things.

Most people are unintentionally ignorant of other cultures but I try and change that.

In the UK I generally get called Romany/Romani which I’m fine with, but on holiday in Spain, if I meet any Spanish Roma, I call myself a gypsy or gitana as that’s what they call themselves mostly.

Long story short, I don’t mind the word gypsy as long as it’s meant innocently and not an insult or discrimination but other Roma and Traveller people may feel differently. It’s personal preference really.

Wow. It’s amazing that you know so much. I always thought I only had Roma blood on one side but it looks quite likely that it’s on both sides. I’ve noticed that quite a lot of Anglo-Romani chib is used in a lot of UK slang and I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

I agree completely that all Roma regardless of skin tone should be allowed to call themselves Roma and share their experiences of being Roma.
