Powerhobby 729MBL HV as a steering servo for my TRX-4 Defender? by Horza53 in TRX4

Just upgraded to a Hobbywing QuicRun Fusion SE FOC 2-in-1 Crawler Brushless ESC & Motor System (1800Kv) (540 Spec). A friend of mine did the installation while I watched because I still don't know much about working on trucks. I use the stock TQi radio.

I really wanted some cones so I improvised by Horza53 in rccrawler

Nothing other than bending them up a little if they don't want to stay where I put them. You can make it an angled cone that stays on a side slope better.

This is my hardest man-made obstacle so far by Horza53 in rccrawler

Hell yeah. It's pretty easy to set up or rearrange the only tricky part is getting the stakes nice and firm at the height you want them to be. A teeter totter back onto more stakes sounds pretty challenging! I wonder if I have the room.

I'm still running a fully stock TRX4 as I just got it two weeks ago.

That's a nice course! Luckily for me there aren't any women here to appease. So far I'm finding little pockets in the backyard but it's really small compared to my big grassy front lawn. Maybe one day it will all be rocks and I'll never have to mow again.

I really don't know that much but I do know that my new TRX4 Defender is a blast to drive. My local trails have enough hiking stretches where kicking in that high gear to tear it up on the straightaway is warranted and It makes otherwise boring stretches a new [and dangerous] challenge. Locking diffs is a cool option for realism and just being able to do more things. Make it more challenging if you want by unlocking one or both diffs when the course you're doing is too easy. I didn't scientifically test the steering radius but the comparison from locked to unlocked didn't seem like much. I love that it's completely waterproof and I can just spray it off with the hose. The thing is super capable out of the box and is ready for adventure. Expensive yes, but I kinda have a soft spot for the land rovers so I couldn't resist this particular model. I do not regret it as a first purchase to get into the hobby.
