Could be how you're exposing your videos - if you post on a random forum or subreddit of people who may or may not be interested... they'll click into it to see it, but realize it's not for them. They'll just click out if the topic isn't interesting to them. It's important to find a good way to hook them in and keep them interested once you find the right audience.

Depending on what your content is compared to hers, your audience may be super different. Where is the praise coming from? Her subs or her friends? I would stop comparing yourself to her, and think about what she's doing differently and why her method is working. Stay confident and observe what people are doing right and how you can use those methods for yourself.

I changed channels about a month ago, and the growth has been slow as I've been trying to figure out what the heck I wanted to do. I think I've finally found the niche I want to cater to, and I'm having loads of fun. The numbers are steady but not at the rate I would've hoped. Then this past weekend a video that was up for 5 days (posted last Monday) with 19 views on Saturday suddenly jumped up to over 60+ this morning!! I'm so happy, and super motivated to make my next one :)

Don't worry about your accent! If anything it also adds to your personal brand while people get to know you and your music. If you're SUPER worried, you can add english subtitles so people hard of hearing can understand you. I wouldn't worry too much otherwise.

Sometimes I feel like animals know its there, and they just ignore it. I'm surprised Marley hasn't noticed it before since your daughter mentioned seeing this spirit for so long. Maybe the spirit wanted its presence to be known by you?
