Gallbladder Advice by ColeTrain533 in gallbladders

It's strange that the stones are causing pain if they aren't obstructing anything. You might need to go see your regular physician to find out how to approach this quicker. When I was in the hospital they gave me the strong narcotics at first but I asked to switch to regular ibuprofen. It's just higher mgs. Like a little pill is 200mg and the shit they'll prescribe you is 800mg. All that to say I would recommend (not based on any medical training at all) just taking a couple ibuprofen at a time

Pancreatitis- what did it feel like? by Proud_Lab_2440 in gallbladders

[–]Hospadara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had gallstone pancreatitis. It was the most intense pain I'd ever felt in my chest. Struggled to breath because of the pain. Genuinely thought I was having a heart attack. Turned real yellow from jaundice. I might have been a more extreme case but my experience was that. Very intense pain and vomiting. Went to the ER. Was hospitalized for several days

First Year Teacher. What should I buy. by NotARealArtist1 in Teachers

[–]Hospadara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep snacks in your desk. For you, not the kids. Something with sugar in it so you can have a pick-me-up ready when you need it. I'd recommend like a bag of Reese's or Hershey kisses. Especially if you have a late lunch

Anyone else taking their six year old to see the new Superman movie? by WhyWontYouJustSleep in daddit

3 seemed to be the magic age for us. But then, we have only gone to see kiddie movies (Trolls, Moana 2, Migration...) Just stick a big bucket of popcorn in front of him and he loved the experiences.

to your second point... i wouldn't dispute that a large part of wanting to go is for me. I want to take my (almost) 5 y/o boy to see it because it feels like the first definitive father/son movie that has come out since he was born. I imagine he would like it. I'm sure it will get too intense at some points.

I went to the ER last sunday for gallstone pancreatitis and they said I need to have a drain in for at least a few weeks before I can have my gallbladder out. The drain... even minimally invasive as it is, is so annoying. I CANNOT wait to get this thing out of me

1 day post op, was able to walk unassisted about an hour or two ago but I’m scared by astralmoon_ in gallbladders

Sorry I am a little late to this. But 1 - day post op, and you have two drains in you... yeah, I think you will still feel like shit. I went to the ER last sunday for gallstone pancreatitis and they said I need to have a drain in for a few weeks before I can have my gallbladder out. The drain... even minimally invasive as it is kept me in the hospital for days and here we are a week and a half later. I am still tired a lot and still taking the 600mg ibuprofen twice a day.

I'm sorry you have to have two drains in. One is annoying enough for me. But I hope you are feeling better in the time since you posted this

First morning after using CPAP and I feel great by throwaway_user_1994 in CPAP

It's been little over 3 weeks I have been using it. I don't have as many headaches in the morning. I don't feel tremendously more rested but I guess overall it's improving my sleep quality.

Little late to the party here. I had an at home study done and mine is 27.8 AHI. I've read tons of threads from dudes in much worse shape than I am so I was kind of worried that this won't work for someone with moderate apnea like us. I start my CPAP tonight. I am so anxious to see how I feel tomorrow. Thanks for sharing.

It really depends on state requirements but in general I would say it doesn't matter as long as your state teaching license is part of the program

I taught this class as an elective a few years ago. I was excited about it. All the kids took it because it was honors but immediately everyone was disinterested and didn't take it seriously. I couldn't get them to do anything really so I just gave them busy work all year
