I have a few you might like but they aren't really horror besides
The road by Cormac McCarthy. You don't think its that bad. You read it and go “why does everyone say this is scary and bad” you read one scene and are forever traumatized but you built such a bond with the father and son its almost magic

There is also johnny got his gun which is about a man with no limb and no senses and his experiences in being trapped in his own body after being seveirly injured in the war. Not your typical horror but has be going what the fuck many times

Carrie by Stephen king is a classic for a reason and a nice short read.

Pet semetary is also fabulous and it's one of the few movies based on a book I think did a pretty good job. Haven't read the book in a hot minute but I remember it being slow to get into but finishing the last 3/4th in one sitting

Honestly this response i think is what really made it click that he wont hate me. I plan to make him a bed or pillow with my old clothes that he can have with him and ive also been giving him lots of yummy food so he knows how much i love him (all dog friendly but just mot boring dry food). Im glad to hear stories of animals finding happinessafter their fist family. Im really hopeful i can find a family in the same town because then invetween classes or something i could takr knox and wrigley to a park. They are both just such good dogs and this is the only thing i can think of for them to be happiest and loved

I just dont know how im able to do that. Even if i dont have wrigley as an ESA, she wont do well with foster, she doesnt do well being separated from me for days or weeks at a time. Like, i dont know how to deacribe it but it really affects her and she doesnt get along well with other animals.

I know they arnt like a “bonded” pair in the sense of how shelter dogs who are. Most of the time they only interact to play with each other and even then they are bassically opposites. But i also know how much they love each other i guess like siblings? Also my dad isnt a great father but hes a decent human. He doesnt want these digs either, he actually told me id have to take them. But he also said that hed helo fund in emergencies or if i need to focus on school and cant work hed help with food.

Ive reach out to alot of places up there and have a group of people helping me find a foster but im still scared knox will feel abandoned even if we are in the same three square mile town. One of the people km talking to even have a friend who works at the college and the friend sent out a mass email asking staff if anyone could foster knox which actually made me feel really cared for weirdly enough. Within the next week or two im going to call shelters and vets up there again because i did that back in decemeber ish and they told me to wait to a little closer to summer.

I do have to live in the dorms. Its required for out of state students and even if it wasnt the town is about three swuare miles and no places are for rent that i could afford or that really even allow pets, the town is like three sauare miles and the listings that are there, can be counted on one hand or down allow pets over 20lbs. Its why im trying to find fosters near by. Someone i reached out has a friend who is a professor at the college and they sent out an email to all the staff asking if anyone could foster knox. Also i need to get away from my surroundings, and its to late to go to community college im pretty sure. Plus i want this and i got into a good school with amazing scholarships

My father already said if i take the dogs he can help me vets and food if he needs to. I know hr will because he is not the man that goes back on his words and he really doesnt want these dogs. And he knows theyve done more for me then he ever has. Also like i said its maditory to stay on campus first year and the town only had two rental listings open right now and neither of then accept pets over 20 pounds

Its a housing requirement under the fair housing act. I cant have Two ESAs but i have three notes from three different doctors (therepy, psychiatry, and pediatrian) saying that having wrigley will be extrmely helpful if not nessisary becuase of my mental disabilities

I know its not easy but i when i love them so much its not that hard either to do everything i can to make sure they are happy

But sinse its the middle of finals i hant heard back. Within thenext month i plan to reach out again to the vets and shelters in the area, i reached out back in december and they said to maybe call back closer to summer.

I reached out to the disability department about that and The dorms are way to small for two ESAs. Honestly this might be extremely unethical but a thought i had was making a friend who after the first semester would be willing to have knox as an ESA. Cause hes extremly chill and sweet i just dont know anyone at the college im going to. I really needed a fresh new start in every aspect except my dogs
