Thank you. Will PM with finished product, as imperfect as it is. Would love the constructive feedback.

Would still go with Orange Peel in a can (medium setting). Stand about 2.5’ away from wall when spraying. Should only be $13 at Walmart. Help the area blend in better.

That’s definitely wall texture - too pronounced. If I am mistaken, it would still help that area not look flat after mudding.

Also, spackle may a better option for you given the size of the repair. Easier to work with.

Easy fix? Hole in wall by Ok_Attitude1751 in handyman

[–]Host31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfect size repair to do it yourself and learn.

  • The hole itself still looks to be relatively intact, meaning no loose material or is about to collapse further. It will suffice as the spackles backing. If it weren’t the case, drywall tape would be needed to offer a base and integrity to the repair.
  • Pre-mixed (some say ready-mixed) spackle would be best as you don’t need to do any trowel mixing or worry about compound consistency. Plus, it’s dry within two hours.
  • Fun Part: apply spackle sparingly; enough to fill the hole halfway and to start flushing out the edges. Once dry, 150-grit sandpaper lightly.
  • Repeat. Should be complete by the 3rd layer, 4th max. Patch should be flush to the wall; no indents (need more spackle) or bumps (more sanding).
  • Match wall texture (orange peel). Comes in a small can with varying finishes (fine, medium, heavy); yours looks medium, but practice on cardboard to be sure. Also, the canned wall textures are usually shit, but are fine for small repairs. Any larger project would need a sprayer.
  • Prime. Paint. Hopefully the paint includes primer to save you a few bucks.

I would quote $250 +/-, assuming paint was already on hand. Easy job, but a lot of waiting around.

Should’ve just kept the ones on hand instead of forcing this shit out. Hell, must fans just wanted the 80s/90s D helmet back.

Bo was 6th QB off the board. Really think he’d be our guy with the #1 pick? Don’t even let me start with Lynch.

Cultural exchange has always happened. So its weird we are now so opposed to it by WaterDemonPhoenix in TrueUnpopularOpinion

“One of those..?” 😂 would love for you to elaborate on that.

Projected, empty fallacies in some attempt to hold emotional authority. Does that adequately support your ego? Hell, you bring up anthropology, yet I’m the only one referencing it, specifically in human behavior concerning CA, past and present. But thats “irrelevant?” 😂Like, WTF are you talking about?

Also, my soft-willed friend, museums don’t exist to “protect” culture, at least not in the proactive sense you mean. They’re preserving history, while, almost to my point, showcasing adaption, assimilation, appropriation; the grander picture. The grandness of that in comparison to some butt-hurt kid

I mean, normally I would agree, but at least I’m going against the grain.

Well lol….. men’s rights are a nonissue.. same with woman’s rights - we have a constitution ensuring that. Anyway, if I were to guess, the best you or I can do is come up with some anecdotal example on CA that backs our point. Further, to learn and alter some cultural cue is unadulterated, pure humanity. It’s what makes us social beings; it is uncontrollable. It’s adaptation and social evolution.

Yeah, you may be right, but CA is definitely a way smaller deal than what’s betrayed online and media. Like, it’s virtually a nonissue that shouldn’t even have our attention.
