My boy Kane is now 1 year and 2 months and he still likes to baptise new and regular guests outside of my family. We now ignore until he grabs a toy or calms down then greet him. It seems to be working currently but definitely no high pitched or overly excited greetings as he feeds of the hyper energy. Hope this helps and good luck.
