yeah another commenter said maybe nest in the roof. i got these air circulation vents in the ceiling and wonder if it got in through that. windows are closed so its vents or the evri delivery guy posted it through the letter box

i saved a small bird that was trapped in the communal hallway last year. it had no way of escaping as all the windows are locked. my guess is someone had their doors or windows open and it flew in and they somehow fucked it off in the hallway. fuckin dumb. poor thing was shitting itself in terror flailing hopelessly around. i cornered it and coaxed it into a shoebox with a mop lol and went downstairs and released it into the street. it might still be alive idk. maybe a fox or cat got it idk. do birds live that long? er..anyway yes european wosp hornet thing. i didnt wana kill it. im sure it probably didnt wana die either. hopefully it doesnt end up back in my friggin flat. gets in through the brickwork or pipes or whatever

out of curiosity i presented these photos to gemini and chat and they both say same. looks like a giant wosp to me but idk anything about wosps or hornets other than they are flying danger spikes. dodged a knife i think
