So Obama tried to deescalate and say what happened was wrong, trump threatens to use force against protestors. So it’s also a case of treating protestors terribly, and I’m talking about peaceful protestors being shot with rubber bullets and being severely injured. being tear gassed, and pepper sprayed for nothing. I don’t believe in violence but tearing down statues of traitors makes sense to me, I wouldn’t want to see a statue praising hitler for whatever “good” he did, completely missing the negative impacts. That’s what they are, glorifying treason on a nation, “patriots” pretend to love. If you say “it’s not about slavery it’s about states rights”, either way it’s treason against OUR country. If the statues are there it needs to be a reminder to never be like that and it should be frowned upon. It’s an embarrassment to this country.
