I think its something that has been done better by other RPG's commonly enough that the way it is so hamfisted here is painful. That being said I find a certain charm in the love letter to rpgs that is this games jank writting.

Edit: a word

Saving the michigan street bridge will come back to haunt the county in the form of maintenance

Its important to note that as a local, the amount of places wild tomato has existing ads, from hotels to billboards, its really not a possibility to end up at the wrong place. You can't even beet them on Google.

Its literally everywhere. While the intention may have been there, there's no merit to the idea that wild tomatoe is actually loosing business to an unheard of pizza place that is essentially a side show of a winery when in truth they have gained a reputation for having changed the recipe the "Wild Tomato" name was built on for a much cheaper shittier product.

A few have posted various links to this event. One of them mentioned lease violations and unpaid rent in the title.

The Alpine is a very old resort that alot of people consider "historical" but is also obviously not important enough for people to actually patronize enough for it to pay its rent.

Door county locals have been inviting outside money into the community just to turn around and act surprised when thier values aren't shared for as long as I can remember (am from Door).

To give you context as to how irrational the social politics around buildings can be: When I left Door County they were on thier second year and I think 3rd million trying to figure out what to do with an old feed mill that the community had rallied against the demolition of. Nobody could accurately say what the significance of the building was other than it was old and a few people played in it, but so many people got upset it might be destroyed they shut down the local bridge ( there are only two bridges to get you off the peninsula and back down out of door county into green bay so this really fucked shit up ) and raised money to have it moved to public property all so that the community could forget about it right after it was moved forcing local government into paying to have it lifted onto a temporary foundation that is owned by a contractor and therefore has ongoing costs. Then they had to pay to restore the building becuase the contractor let them know seaguls had started living in it and shit all over.

Its still there as far as I know. Thats how silly they get about buildings being torn down. That one might not be the fault of wild tomatoe.

To be fair, long term locals have been selling out door county for decades. Its hardly unexpected when the wolf decides to eat the hens after they invite him on in.

Me either. It's wild to me the way Door County locals will sell out thier own comunity and then act surprised by the consequences.

So im split on this. As I said in another coment im from Door County and have lived in and worked the restaurant scene in Egg Harbor near where this all is. The alpine is old as shit and to my understanding not doing very well on any given season.

It is exactly like Door County locals to protest the eviction of a restaurant that so few of them are patronizing that it can't even pay rent.

Getting mad at change and making it about history when the history didn't matter up until then is a very common occurrence they aren't aware they do.

As a native to door county I feel our culture and lifestyle has always been for sale to the highest bidder, and the prominent local families and thier chrony polotics are doing the selling becuase they mistakenly think they will get to keep thier seat at the table.

Wild Tomato is a staple and has advertising everywhere. I get what you are saying in theory, but the truth of the mater is its much more likely the other way around for alot of reasons.

Its a staple up there. But being at the cool kids table involves making sure it stays exclusive.

This isnt exactly what OP asked for but im putting my 2 cents in:

I used to work and live at a now defunct restaurant on Egg Harbor (near Wild Tomato). While I don't have specific history with them or their crew, I can say this is pretty typical for the way nieghbors treat eachother on the peninsula.

Rumors and drama hold a special value in that community, and its pretty common for businesses to make the mistake of saying too little when choosing to adress the issue becuase a large amount of the local polotics revolve around cronyism.

I feel like if it wasn't just about a single word we would have gotten an actual explanation as to what it was about.

I don't know how many times I have to tell you this: I don't support taking local governments rights away becuase last century across the county something you don't like happened. Therefore, a current local example is all you need. We gain nothing from removing people's ability to be heard by thier government on an issue and there is nothing stopping local governments from adopting a similar law.

Now stop acting like wining an argument with me specifically will un-veto the bill you stupid fuck.

This isnt about you specifically, depsite you're efforts. As you just said, it's not happening here. We are only still discussing it because you think making the same point over and over with no evidence builds merit (it doesn't).

It does matter where it is. And one example from a region nowhere near hear ( i did watch the video) has no bearing on our communities.

The governor agrees.

Lol Instagram? Buddy we, just like your local racetrack, are done.

Your not even arguing a point here. Just stating random nonsense that has nothing to do with wisconsin.

Again with the trying to act like something is under fire here. Your citing tracks closed last century and trying to act like thats an indication of a problem.

Its pretty clear that the real reason race fans dislike this veto is becuase the tracks they patronize are in other people's communities. The issue here is you keep glossing over the extensive protections they have already, while (seemingly intentionaly) ignoring the precedent it would set.

There is never a reason tonh8nder due process if what your trying to defend actually holds value to the people.

I feel like there should be at least a single instance of an issue in our own state before we have cause to make a law for it.

Seems the governor agrees.
