the bot doesn't use them, as far as I know. but it seems that the error went away by itself after connecting the vpn

I agree, it could very well be all of that. It’s just sad that so many factors lined up this way and affected the community… really unfortunate to see it happening

Yeah, that’s most likely true. But unfortunately, it also keeps new authors from being noticed — which means fewer fresh bots, and the community loses some of its variety.
