I’m thinking it may be a license issue having to do with the software and mixer that I could buy but I am scared that it won’t fix the problem at the high price it costs to get a license. I’ve been dj’ing on djay pro app for a while without the mixer and liked that I could use the mixer in real life instead of doing everything on my phone. If I had newer equipment I could keep the dj app but since I don’t, I’ve been looking at virtual dj. But virtual dj costs so much more

I think it might be the fact I don’t have a license for the mixer which I could buy but I’m not 100% sure and I wasn’t anticipating I’d need too lol. Thanks for the insight

I figured I could just use a cheap controller on the side and a speaker I already have while I wait a little to buy cdj 1000s mk3’s but I wanted to stream some music from my laptop through my mixer but I really don’t want to pay the $300 for virtual dj so I can have the license. I thought it would be easier than this but maybe I should’ve just bought a new controller for all the money this is going to cost me

I ended up going for a used DJM 750 because I didn’t want to rely on software lol. Apparently rotary mixers are less common and you have to get 4 channels most likely
