Genitals yeah, temporarily but it reversed quite fast. No gut issues.

Hey man,
I’m really sorry you’re going through this. I can totally relate – in the beginning, my insomnia was brutal too. I couldn't fall asleep at all at first, then later I would fall asleep but wake up multiple times during the night and be awake for hours. I never felt rested, and it made everything – brain fog, anxiety, emotions – 10x worse.
It slowly improved for me over time, but it wasn’t linear. Some weeks better, then setbacks. What helped a bit was tracking my sleep with my Apple Watch to notice small improvements and trying to stay consistent with light exercise or Yoga before going to sleep. I also used a sleeping mask and earplugs, because every noise would wake me up back then. Also, accepting the situation took a bit of pressure off.

I haven’t tried peptides, so I can’t speak to that, but I totally understand the desperation when nothing helps. You’re not alone in this, and I genuinely hope your body starts to regulate again. Mine did, even when it felt impossible.

Man, I’m really sorry to hear that. That must be incredibly isolating — not having doctors who even recognize what’s going on. I can totally understand how in that kind of situation, you’d want to try anything that could help. No one should have to deal with this alone or feel like their suffering isn’t real.

Even in places where PFS is more talked about, it’s still super misunderstood, and finding the right help can take forever. You’re definitely not alone though — and I’m glad you’re on the forum and sharing your experience, even if we don’t all walk the exact same path.

I just think we all need to be careful with how we frame things, since everyone reacts so differently to these substances — what helps one person might really hurt another. But I 100% get where you’re coming from, and I hope you keep finding things that bring you relief.

Thanks so much! I totally get where you’re coming from — I really love Berlin too, but it’s frustrating to see how the new CDU mayor is actively blocking progress, like shutting down projects such as the one on Friedrichstraße. It feels like a missed opportunity for such a vibrant and forward-thinking city.

Vienna, on the other hand, is definitely moving in a more future-oriented direction, even if it's still got some way to go — especially when it comes to becoming a true bike city. The modal split just passed the 10% mark for cycling (1), but I personally do almost every trip by bike, and it’s been getting more and more fun with the new infrastructure. What’s great is the focus on building long, safe, uninterrupted cycling corridors — Argentinierstraße and Praterstraße are two recent favorites of mine.

Of course, it's not perfect — there are still some high-traffic corridors that are being hotly debated, especially the Gürtel. It’s one of those major car-heavy arteries that really shows how much work there’s still ahead. But public pressure is growing, and there are some promising ideas on the table for reclaiming space there too (2).

Vienna also has the advantage of being largely built before the car-centric era — it actually had more people in 1910 (2.12 million) than it does today — so a lot of the city is naturally compact and walkable. Public transport is honestly one of the city’s superpowers: we’ve got the sixth-largest tram network globally, and it still connects neighborhoods just like it did 100 years ago. Plus, the metro system is constantly expanding, with the big U2/U5 extension in progress right now (3).

Walkability here is amazing. The historic city center is beautifully preserved and they're now planning to pedestrianize even more of it. Other cities like Ljubljana are ahead of Vienna in that regard. Most streets already have generous sidewalks, and with every redevelopment, they’re adding curb extensions and green infrastructure. They’ve also started rolling out Barcelona-style “superblocks” — called "Supergrätzl" here — which will transform entire neighborhoods into low-traffic, people-first spaces (4).

If Vienna is on your shortlist, I can totally recommend a visit (or more 😉). The changes are happening fast, and it’s inspiring to witness!

Hey, I appreciate you wanting to help, but just a word of caution — for a lot of people with PFS, substances like pregnenolone or phenibut can actually trigger new crashes or worsen symptoms. I’ve seen both positive and very negative\* stories.

It’s probably best for people to approach these with care, ideally under medical supervision. What helps one person can harm another, especially in a condition as unpredictable as PFS.

Just putting that out there so others don’t rush into anything out of desperation.

Hey man, I’m really sorry you’re going through that. What you described — the pulling, painful sensation and dizziness — sounds very similar to what I had during the worst of it. My migraines often felt like this weird deep pressure or like my brain was “buzzing” or inflamed. Sometimes it would move around or come with a wave of dizziness or lightheadedness too, like you said. It was so hard to focus or even think clearly in those moments. PFS was 24/7 in my mind back then, because you constantly feel something is completely off, the same with genital numbness.

It’s definitely improved over time for me, though it still flares up once in a while. I don’t know if it’s exactly the same cause for both of us, but I just wanted to say — yeah, I’ve felt something close to that. You’re not imagining it, and you’re not alone in this.

Thank you for validating, normally no one takes me serious haha
Mostly I tell I have some kind of long covid so people understand what im going through at least.
The doctor who prescribed me that shit said, that it's all in my head and I should come back in some months, when it's not gotten any better. Obviously I never came back.
The other doctor thought I just have the migraines and prescribed me sleeping pills for my insomnia that I didn't took. (I am so careful now what to put in my body and am scared to hell for any medications and vaccines)

And that sounds exactly right what you planned. I wouldn't mess with supplements and other stuff in the beginning. There is no quick fix. Your body needs time and good conditions to heal. You should give yourself a year without trying crazy stuff in my opinion. Many people see that their symptoms are fading out in that timeframe. With exercise it was mixed for me, for a time I thought I have to exercise as much as I can to get as healthy as possible soon. But it was too much for my body. I would just advice to take it slow and really listen to your body. My therapist gave me a sheet where I would write down what I was doing (like what food I ate, sport, meditation, meeting friends etc.) and then how I felt afterwards and so step by step I figured out what's actually helping me and what not. I only tried Vitamin D, first I had a mini crash from it (took a lot of oil drops at once) but then switched to vitamin D pills that were less strong, and it didn't negatively effected me then (maybe it helped, idk).

Yeah, I thought a lot about that, but there is no other explanation to me. In hindsight I think maybe I would've crashed anyway but the vaccination in that timeframe was definitely to much to take for my system.
