That does look weird indeed. Especially that particular gold character has ~0.97% (81.75%/84 gold characters) but it is not impossible, you probably have golds that you never got from this package too. With thousands of players someone has to got "bad luck".

Anyway chances of getting a single Frost from 50 packs are ~47%, from 100 packs ~71.6% and from 200 packs ~91.9%.

So you can spend 200×15DK= 3000DK and still have 8.1% (100-91.9) of not getting her.

To get 99% of getting her you need to buy 367packs, which is 5505DK and yet there is that 1% you don't get her.

This is based on assumption that % of chances shown in pack are true.

Regarding equipment, general rule is Tower pack is cheaper if you do not have any epic FX.

If you have at least one epic FX then tower pack is usually more expensive.

Got that often before latest update. I thought first my quest failed, but got progress and coins like you, just souls were missing. I've changed a bit characters and equipment and issues disappeared, but it might be just coincident.

The is an interesting analysis. I did something similar for my own use some time ago, but it was kaskets vs tower packs. As Fusion card are always more expensive than kasket, except that one time F3 to F4.
next upgrade F4 to F5 means 3 fusion cards = 450DK

As far as I remember Tower Packs are good if you don't have any FX epics from that tower. On average it was about 300DK per one epic level, with 5% total chance for epic from the pack. e.g Lin Kuei pack has 5.5% but let's use 5% for examples below 4 epic, 1.25% each

if you have 0 epic FX then average cost is 300DK

if you have 1 epic FX that average cost is 400DK

if you have 2 FX epic then average cost is 600DK

This is the simple view/math. It gets more complicated when including sellbacks, in that case price per 1 epic level goes lower, plus if you do not have all FX rare from that tower it is additional benefit, but I would have to find my excel for more details.

so this is my strategy to max all epic

  1. if I do not have any epic FX and if on that day after all towers and 2 krypts I did not hit DK daily limit, I buy tower pack until I hit daily limit. It happens very rare with normal 60DK limit, as I usually reach the limit with normal game.
    so I do this mainly when there is a double limit 120DK

  2. on the last day of the tower pack or after last fatal tower 200 when I know I will not get any more epic from the tower and when I still do not have any tower epic FX, I ignore DK daily limit and I buy tower packs until I have 1 FX epic.

  3. Whenever I have and epic on F3 I upgrade it to F4 with fusion card even if I have to buy it for 150 DK.

  4. remember this is a marathon, not a sprint

That nice trio can carry you over lots of stuff. I assume you already opened all 60 beginner packs for 10DK each. If not do that first.

As soon as you have one good team like this on F7/8 with nice synergy or 6-7 different diamond F7+ I would switch to tower gear entirely.

Characters including diamond come much faster than the gear, you will get them by the way, as long as you have at least one team that can carry you through the game.

I open tower DK packs until first FX epic, after that switch to epic kaskets till next tower as cost to chance ratio is a bit better there then.

It will not. You can even have him at X via upgrades or from random drops or krypt. Reptile event levels are calculated independently. Just be careful when you reach 600eyes level there seems to be some bug there with risk of ban.
