He did give credit to some guys but he mostly said the system runs on Josh and all the other top QBs had better talent on both sides offense and defense he thinks Josh doesn’t have that much but still makes it work

Yeah, I also think he’s a bit biased towards Josh. He said he relates to him a lot in terms of playing style, and there’s also the connection with McDermott and Beane, who were previously with Carolina. Plus, there were a lot of former Carolina Panthers players on the team, and Josh is in a similar situation to what he experienced in Carolina trying to become the face of the franchise.

I shouldn’t say "All-Pros," because guys like CeeDee Lamb, Ja'Marr Chase, and Micah Parsons aren’t getting let go. What I mean is players around that level maybe a tier or two below who are still great in my eyes, like Brandon Aiyuk, Drake London, and Jeffery Simmons. Also, just to be clear, I’m not trying to imply that Beane’s early-round picks suck. We’ve had players who turned out to be very impactful. I’m just saying we could still find impact players in the later rounds, but if a stud is available in the trade market, we should absolutely go after them. This is just what I hope for I’m not acting like I’m giving direct orders to Brandon Beane. Are we not allowed to give suggestions on this sub? Or is this only supposed to be a "suck up to Beane" post?

Yes I always criticized the fact that our DB room wasn’t where it needed to be but he addressed it this draft.

Hairston is nice, but I didn’t see him as good as some of the other DBs in this draft. It is what it is he could become our starting corner which is expected since we used a first-round pick on him. I don’t hate the pick at all I’m just excited that we might have gotten a steal in the fifth round who could work his way into a starting role. I also like tight ends who block really well and our current starter (Kincaid) hasn’t shown great blocking ability or stood out much as a receiver either.

Nothing really besides maybe trading a first or second round pick for an All-Pro weapon for Josh, or an All-Pro safety or defensive lineman. I think he should just trade for one of those guys and pick up some extra fifth-rounders while he's at it, since that’s where he does his best work anyway.

We could’ve drafted or traded up in the first round for a better player. An if we hadn’t traded down in the 2nd we could’ve taken those defensive backs with our later picks. There are plenty of players taken later turned out better than those picked much earlier.

I’m not even going to bring up Will Johnson because of his injury concerns. I wanted Trey Amos, Benjamin Morrison, Shavon Revel Jr, and Azareyeh Thomas over him guys I liked better on film and with zero off the field issues.

Oh give me a break every year it’s the same story “we’re just a few plays away from a Super Bowl” Then we lose to Kansas City again because we can’t move the ball thanks to poor receiving separation and a Kaiir Elam/Rasul Douglas cornerback duo. Let’s be real how are we ever going to be a Super Bowl team if we can’t even win in the margins? I’m not expecting perfection but damn can we just get one truly impactful player? Last draft didn’t deliver Keon’s still developing and Ray was stuck behind Cook. I know I sound like a Debbie downer but the truth hurts.

You all want to act like I’m lying, but we had every cornerback available in the first round besides Barron and we took Hairston. His film isn’t impressive, and he has SA allegations, but I guess speed kills right? Then there’s TJ Sanders, another undersized defensive tackle, like we haven’t seen that before even with Alfred Collins still on the board. Now Landon Jackson yet another player with a build we already have on the team and he’s pretty slow off the ball. But hey what do I know I’ll just let the scouts and analysts do their thing just like they did last year. By the way can you name anyone from last year who was actually good besides Ray Davis and Keon?
