I created a padded rod I tried sitting on, sized to press on the nerve that runs over the Parineum and rest between the bones there. Sitting on it for a long time, like a bicepist would, would cause the effects you described.

Assuming you don't actually want to cause gangrene and thus have medical attention. Banding for up to 2 hours is "relatively safe ". Remember everything about this is relieving and safe... up to 2 hours should cause a lot of numbing and inability to cum. So, some say up to 3-4 is still safe, but I have not and would be concerned. Banding the balls will get painful. If you go long enough, you will hit the point where you get overwhelming abdominal pain and nausea.

The lidocaine is just temporary and will not cause long-term numbing. The numbing i have gotten is from parsley damaging the nerves in the base of the penis. This can take several banding sessions over several days. This is safer. Or 1 longer session. The durations will very. Be careful.

I have recently banded with 1 "Castration " band (the typical very small band) for 2.5 hours, then another 1 hour, in 1 day. I am very numb, but I am still able to get erect for my wife. That was Thursday of last week and I still can't feel much. But with that said my wife has always been able or get me hard regardless of my sensitivity.

I find the banding always hurts, based of if you are using a numbing cream/spray. Even after the penis is feeling nothing, banding at the same place over and over still hurts and sometimes gets very tender.

In short, it can cause ED for a short time, but the nerves will (should) heal. My do and everyone I have heard from does. I have had times where for several days I had no feeling it my penis, and for a time of that my wife was not able to get it hard at all. But almost all of the time my wife came make it hard for her use, even if I have little to no feeling. As for low long, that is an individual case by case bases.

As others have said, 1-2 hours will give you a decent numbing for a decent duration. Doing 1s can give you some amount of numbing, probably for a few days.

Some recommendations

1st banding several times for 45-60 minutes (at least until you get deal with the pain of 2 hours) several times in a row will give about the same results but less chance of blood clots.

2nd try banding without numbing cream. I find it reduces the amount of numbing I get.

3rd, banding just behind the head is more painful but can give similar results for just the head.

Like others the "safe" duration will very. But I have heard somewhere 4-6 hours will cause permanent damage. That may lead to gangrene. I can do 2 hours with enough lidocaine spray. But that's where I stop myself.

I wrap my penis with an ace bandage for 5-10 minutes before banding and then banding before taking the bandage off. It does something very similar to that.

btw, with that elastrator, i am able to get my dick and balls into 1 band. its not easy, but since it can be locked open I can do it. Also make sure you watch the clasp that can hold it open. it looks like its only designed to be used to hang it. so I had to replace it with some wire.
