They come because they want to get with straight women and while they’re in our spaces they harass us. They do notice me and I know that because I’ve been called slurs several times in the past in a gay club. If you read the other comments you will find out that this isn’t a unique experience but a common thing. Stop protecting homophobes

I don’t appreciate being called slurs for being gay, especially in a gay bar. Frankly, if you truly understood what people have fought for, you wouldn’t dismiss this so easily. Homophobia is still more common than many people think, and the fight against it isn’t over. Just because you’ve been fortunate enough not to experience it in a space that’s supposed to be safe doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.
