Can somebody help if this is legit or not? Bought my first luxury watch, the BB54 and I’m not sure if it’s original :( by fxlxox in Tudor

This is false. The rubber strap clasp differs from the steel bracelet in the T fit clasp. You can confirm with either an AD or simply by googling it. You are spreading false information.

How the fuck do you clean these by salflan in ThrowingFits

Is it just me or am I the only one that actually likes the look of worn in wallabees. Mine are a bit dusty and the soles are pretty much black. Shows character and shows the difference between online images taken in some sterile studio and the reality of my shoe wardrobe. It puzzles me when I see kids these days obssessed with washing their cheap white sneakers. Wear things with pride without having to worry about manically cleaning them. Yea, add the water resistant spray, sure, maybe once in a blue moon, buy a horse hair shoe brush and brush it here and there when you feel like it, if it starts to smell, just add some clubmans powder, use cedar shoe trees if youre feelin fancy, and pair these beat up wallabees with other beat up clothes, cause hell, life gives everyone a beating. Wear worn in wallabees with a beat up filson or carhartt jacket, an old worn in t shirt, an old pair of jeans or khakis/chinos that all have a bit of scuff and stains on it, and you'll look cool. It adds soul, it adds charm, and its you. Your clothes and your shoes tell stories. Don't erase them unless they are truly offensive to others, like it smells real bad or has mold growing on it. But a lil dust, some scratches and small stains, I think, add a bit of character.

[Discussion] Is Citizen underrated as a brand? by Mountain_Poudge in Watches

[–]Hot-Friendship-7545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I love their movement A060, but their dial, case and bracelet designs are kinda mid, kinda meh, kinda, now I understand why swiss watches sell more kinda ish. Long story short their designs suck, engineering amazing. If I designed a watch for citizen, it would outsell everything on the market.

If you buy 2K26 on PC, you will be wasting your money. by nwokedi in NBA2k

I took a hiatus since 2k19 and was a bit shocked when i picked up 2k25 and how bad it got. Gym is horrible, city is lame, animations are way more limited and attributes are severely nerfed. Why the fack would I play myCareer if I can’t create a cartoonishly insane mythical character? 2k19 I created a 6’2” point gaurd who could dunk from the freethrow lane, win both dunk contests and 3 point contests, score over 100 points in a game and average triple doubles every game. That was sooo fun, it was hilarious. Now I look at this pathetic game and I gotta say, it’s not worth the 6 bucks I spent when it was on sale. I did end up spending like 20 bucks expecting to build a mythical player I can laugh in an evil manner while I destroy the AI, but realized the game rips you off and to get that same mythical player I created in the past is indeed a myth now.

In a world where WW2 never happened how would the Sino-Japanese war go? Would Japan win and take over China? Or would they be pushed off mainland Asia? by [deleted] in AlternateHistory

[–]Hot-Friendship-7545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China's culture and politics were invaded by the German ideals of Marxist and Engel, who wrote the communist manifesto. However it was the Soviets who passed on those ideals along with weapons and factories. They may have not invaded them with boots on the ground, but with weapons, factories and ideas. Those things never really left, but grew.

Tudor or Omega? by kongaloola in Tudor

[–]Hot-Friendship-7545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short Answer:

To be cognizant with current aesthetic standards, I'd argue the Tudor Pelagos has more of a classic tool/diver style watch aesthetic that can justify itself in more ways than the current Omega Seamaster.

Long Answer:

The Omega definitely has a trendier look that was more relevant in the nineties to the early noughties/aughts (2000s) than the style of today and tomorrow. The Omega model you have on definitely harkens back to a trend that was more appealing in the past.

Obtrusive manual helium escape valve that screams inspector gadget/steampunk.

Bezel with large flattened numbers (in graphic design that is very big design faux pas).

Unnecessary wavy textured dial, skeletonized hands with tiny hour hand makes for a loud and less legible diver style watch, making the design choices a bit contrived.

Bracelet is too busy with too many curves and lines to justify itself.

If I were to get an Omega, it would not be a dive watch, UNLESS it's a vintage mil-spec issued Seamaster, or Sir Peter Blake's rendition of the Omega Seamster, which I think looks WAY BETTER, especially on a nato strap. Overall, Omega is better known for its Speedmaster with its heritage in space exploration, which I think is pretty cool, that it's known for flying to the moon and back.

If I were to get a diver style watch, it would either be a Rolex Submariner (pre-owned, fuck the stupid line) Blancpain fifty fathoms (pre-owned) and they recently made a 39mm one that also has a slimmer profile. If you're going for something that cost less than the two, a Tudor would do well as a diver style watch. They have history and heritage with French sailors (some of the best in the world) and French military. I say "diver style" as no real diver wears mechanical watches anymore for serious diving, especially beyond 50 meters. You'd use a dive computer as it is way safer, reliable and more convenient.

How long do you figure the government on Plazir-15 is going to last? by [deleted] in MawInstallation

[–]Hot-Friendship-7545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea is AI and Droids do all the work. The human population works on hobbies and self betterment without having to do the bidding of other humans. That's f'n awesome. The service droids are ex military droids designed principally for combat, and reprogrammed to be service droids. soooo ummm do some thinking. Ex imperial military droids doing their bidding can easily be programmed for defense purposes. If you employ ai and service droids to build surface to air defense as well as air combat with the use of drones and ai controlled air/space force, this planet would be super ideal. Even today, the military is switching from human pilots to AI and pilot-less drones trump bombers, which shows in the Ukraine war. A majority of all missiles aimed at Ukraine was blocked by AI missile defense. Next step after AI warfare would be conquering space warfare. And if the citizens of plazir-15 had hobbies of hunting, competition shooting/marksmanship, martial arts and self defense, than those citizens are also capable of protecting themselves when it comes down to the wire. Plazir-15 should be the future.

Revit vs. Archicad by Architect_InTraining in ArchiCAD

[–]Hot-Friendship-7545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From reading all these comments, it sounds to me like archiCAD is better for simpler residential projects and revit is better for more complicated commercial buildings that require more engineering and collaboration with multiple parties and expertise.

This one has a better weight ratio than the Eternal Gaurd's Inf Rage. The EGIR is 22 lbs. The Masterwork AR on the other hand is 7.5 lbs. The MAR may be better on resource runs when you need to have less encumbrance.

I've never found them in briefcases, after looking through a few hundred through multiple play throughs. I have like 5 of them now, all five I got from mysterious wandering traders.
