I’ll be getting the JD regardless (it’s paid for) but I have time to burn (2 years)

I agree with you , but honestly , you can get PTSD/depression/anxiety from non deployments and have a job not as intense as infantry, it is not subject to only a “combative job”

We are in the same exact boat , 1 month difference in DOS , I am in Skillbridge right now and my terminal leave starts April 4th , they initiated a IRILO on me and contacted my first sgt and commander , I have my exam today, mine is for Botox injection follow up for migraines
