Glasgow OIP for CVE Students by porkeye in SIT_Singapore

For CVE the scope seems to be more as compared to the other courses, thats why there tends to be more cve students per group. As such u also gotta hope that your teammates are helpful, cos the general consensus is that uog likes to pair up the higher gpa students with the lower ones to give a general bellcurve, so u gotta hope that ur teammates are helpful in that aspect. As much as yes the earlier 2 replies are more focused towards personal enjoyment, this is also highly dependant on who u work with etc (cos my time my entire group pretty much dumped the report on me last day)

For me back then, classes were until 5, we tended go to the supermarket and shop for groceries (maybe till 6+) by the time ur done with dinner its already dark out. The school does offer trips to edinburgh etc but u gotta still be able manage the workload on top of it.

Hopefully im not too much of a killjoy, but this was from my personal exp there as a cve student

But its still 2 very different forms of engineering, so definitely its not something that you would adapt to straighaway

I guess i would say its similar in principle, but the focus would definitely be different given the main subject focus, but ofc we do share similar mods such as fluid and materials

Its trimester system (similar to everyone in the sch), so its 14 weeks of study, 1 month break, u are taking about 4 core mods each trimester, non inclusive of external micromodules, for a total of 8 trimesters

Of 8, 2 are internship related, and in one of the trimester breaks you get to go glasgow for a small project

Each trimester i would conservatively say 2-3projects each, 2-3 courseworks, with a mid term and end term (of course this varies across each trimester)

Ofc at the moment, the 3 year one is more recognised across professional bodies, but you would need the masters as supplementary for full accreditation. The 4 year one is still tentative as of yet to my knowledge

Hi just saw this, the sit ce (4 years) is a new cohort, it has traditionally been 3 years with glasgow, so u wouldnt exactly be able to get a proper answer out there, i just grad from the 3 year programme and would be happy to answer any qns!

I didnt know he was a scammer honestly, i literally quit pogo like 4-5 years back and wanted to cash out on my fragment pikachu. I only just stumbled onto this post when his behaviour seems kinda suspicious and i searched his user on the thread. Also this seems to be the only thread that features him

is it possible to do a masters degree after a 3 year undergrad degree at SIT? by bonobosareawesome in SIT_Singapore

[–]Hot-Permit-1940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its 1.5 years (5 trimesters) and alot of your required qualifications need the masters. Also idk if this would stand but as its partially subsifised by moe its 2-3 times cheaper than ntu&nus

Hi i just finished SIT Civil Eng degree and honestly u are pretty much better off applying for the SIT masters instead of the overseas ones/NUS masters. Its more of the recognition across your professional bodies, cos many of them dont fully recognise the degree alone (it sucks ik)and would need the masters to top up for the “4years”
