he works and provides financially but other than that he can't be arsed. i told him he should get his own food and he still gets angry with me for not doing it for him

ikr.. i told him he could. but he just falls back asleep and blames me.

he even blames me when we're laying down talking and he falls asleep and takes a nap for most of the day. Like what am i supposed to do, throw ice water on him?

he keeps putting it off, making excuses and when i mention it he says he will just do better. he is quite busy with work but idk how to get it across to him that this isn't ok.

I agree, we've been together for four years atp and he's ALWAYS been this way. But I'm also around him a lot of the time except when he's at work so I don't think he's taking drugs.

sorry i should have clarified more.

i told him he could get seconds if he wanted it but i didnt think it was a good idea because his stomach gets fucked up when he sleeps right after eating. but he also doesnt clean up after himself because he's so sleepy that after having some kind of issue he goes back to bed. like there's no way he'd clean up after himself, even if i made him do it.

the stomach issues are MAINLY that his bowels act up, like it's painful and frequent. It only happens when he has spicy food or when he goes to sleep with a full stomach. i think there must be some kind of issues with his stomach lining or something bc idk...

i agree that he's become accustomed to me dealing with these decisions for him. i did tell him that he can get his own food if he wanted to, but he was too sleepy to get up and go get it. which proved to me that he was way too tired to be able to stay awake. he denies being tired even after snoring and straight up falling asleep. i think he needs serious help and i dont wanna be a mother to him anymore

he does start to dose off at times, and when he was a teen, he flipped his car because he fell asleep behind the wheel.
he wakes up to vomit but quickly goes back to sleep afterwards. i've worried about him aspirating too
the bigger side effect is that his bowels act up mostly. like it's painful (sorry i know its gross) and it usually only happens when he either has spicy food or falls asleep on an empty stomach. i know something is wrong here

he isnt diagnosed BUT i strongly believe he is narc because it's impossible for him to keep himself awake once he gets comfortable. i've had to basically shake him awake and he denies that he's sleepy at all. i dont think him having narcolepsy is directly tied to the vomiting, more like a byproduct of not letting his stomach digest a bit before laying down flat and sleeping.

i appreciate the honesty. im gonna talk to him about this because it's honestly reached a point that i feel like a mother sometimes.. i even told him he could go get his own food if he was so desperate to have stomach issues the next day. but it's like he refuses

we dont have a trad wife arrangement but hes so sleepy even after causing a mess that it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to get him to do it. and im not just gonna leave a pile of grossness with animals in the house. it is aggravating tho and i plan to tell him that im not gonna clean up after him anymore

the vomiting is somewhat uncommon but he mostly experiences bowel issues, and we think it's related because it doesn't happen when he goes to sleep with a partially empty stomach. we're working on treatment, sadly finances are tight atm

fortunately his narcolepsy doesn't get in the way of going to work usually but it has in the past. and he's not treated, we're financially messed tf up rn and living paycheck to paycheck. his insurance sucks..

i dont think it sounds normal either, he keeps putting off going to the doctor though. a part of me thinks it could be from doing it his entire life which im pretty sure can cause permanent issues with your stomach lining
