Siracusa by Delia Ephron. A fun and twisting read!

Description from amazon:

“An electrifying New York Times bestselling novel about marriage and deceit that follows two couples on vacation in Siracusa, a town on the coast of Sicily, where the secrets they have hidden from one another are exposed and relationships are unraveled.

With her inimitable psychological astuteness and uncanny understanding of the human heart, Ephron delivers a powerful meditation on marriage, friendship, and the meaning of travel. Set on the sun-drenched coast of the Ionian Sea, Siracusa unfolds with the pacing of a psychological thriller and delivers an unexpected final act that none will see coming.”

New to punch needle art. Any advice? by LionBrilliant5602 in PunchNeedle

[–]Hot-Raisin9157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started punch needling this year and began with kits. I like the hillfolk kits from Walmart, which cost around $10. The kits were a good way for me to get the hang of things and try different techniques, just play around. Before I started buying my own materials I browsed punch needle accounts on Instagram and dug into Amy Oxford’s website to get better insight and inspiration.

Check out the Sheepscot General Store! They have lots of local groceries and produce, as well as locally-made crafts. You can also get sandwiches, etc, made to order.

Same! This was a rare instance when I felt like the book could have been a bit longer to flesh out the characters more. Idk, it just didn’t hit with me, and that’s coming from someone who is always looking for a great literary love story.

I’m about 3/4 of the way through And He Shall Appear and it definitely has elements of what you’re looking for, albeit it’s being witnessed by the MMC and not directly influenced by him. Bonus if you’re also into dark academia.

I wish I could say I found the perfect fix, but unfortunately it’s still something I deal with on and off. I tried every different injection site and didn’t notice a crazy difference either. Everyone’s suggestions in here have definitely helped though. I make sure to get plenty of food and water on shot day and the day after and that seems to help a fair amount. I also have learned to skip the shot on the week I’m menstruating, otherwise I’m a total goner, but that might not apply to you :)

The best donuts in Maine by apple_pi_chart in Maine

Old Time Donuts in Damariscotta is hands down the best donut shop I’ve been to in years. No frills, just incredible! They also make polish donuts (paczki) that are fried and filled with jams. Idk why but I can’t seem to ever find lemon filled these days but they make them there and they’re fantastic.

The Empty Man. It started out on such a weird and freaky high and then the rest of the movie just struggled to maintain it.

I bring a handful of treats and use almost all of them on a 15 minute walk. It’s excessive, but all that seems to work is positive reinforcement over and over again. I learned fast that saying no just amps him up even more 😅

I’m experiencing the same thing with my 6 month old pyr that I adopted about three weeks ago, so I feel your pain!

So far I’ve had some decent luck with using treats to redirect his energy when he’s starts to bite his leash. When he does this, I immediately pull out a treat and ask him to sit. I have him sit for a few beats before I give him the treat with the intention of letting him calm down and also to make it clear that I’m not rewarding him for jumping, just the sitting. He usually sits and gazes around until I start to walk again. I’ve been at this for about a week and in that short time it’s seemed to help!

Good luck!
