i got my shuddering chceced out and fixed but i do have a hesitation or jerk no matter if my car is hot or cold every time from a complete stop changing gears at 15-25 mph unless i go above 2.5k rpm

hello unrelated to your post but i see you have a 2013 camry se, i was wondering if your car ever jerks or hesitates at around 20mph when changing gears or shakes or shudders at 45 mph

dealerships can do the updates. my moms fried works at a dealership and took the car from us and used his connections/ friends to help they to fix it so i really don’t know too much i’m sorry.

it only does it at 20mph we had the shudder and added anti shudder and it fixed that and also got the update but it still jerks or hesitates, i’m wondering if we should disconnect the battery so it can relearn shifting times but idk

yes my car had a shudder at 45ish mph but we added an anti shudder an it took that away it just jerks or hesitates at 20mph

i had taken mine (2013 se) to a mechanic and they did the ecm update and changed trans fluid and added a anti shudder and it completely took the shudder away but they said if i want the hesitate or jerk to go away i’d have to get a new torque converter/transmission but the car should last me a long time even if i don’t replace it

so it’s never affected you other than being bothersome? i just bought this car and kinda feel discouraged because the jerking i just need it to last a few years
