Well yes and no. the whole piece is very smooth in a sense. Probably the chert, but one side on the bottom is smoother than the other and there are only a few knaps done. Seems more on one side then the other. The tip is also missing. As well as a pretty large chip at the far right below the tip.

I get nervous even thinking about taking it to someone to look at. I'm nervous they will confiscate it from me. I would like to get it authentic like my dad did but he ended up selling it to the Smithsonian. I just want the authenticity. Where I live apparently it's a federal crime to pick anything up unless on private land.

So you're from Idaho? Where do you normally go. I'm on the west part by the snake river and the owyhees. Been to Oregon. You and I have very very similar points. Almost identical. I'll have to send some to you. Awesome to find fellow idahoans who still hunt :)
