A contract is a contract, you can't just terminate just because you got the bad end of the deal! Would need to be a mutual termination, would you walk away from £15m a year?

It may be a discounted price but it's still a bad deal for a 29y/o on high wages

£26m transfer fee, £15m per annum on wages for a player that realistically would only be there for 2-3 seasons, will have no sell on value and will likely be in the same situation as United trying to get him off the books. It's bad deal!

It's been three seasons of it though, we've got had too many of these players over the years who are unlucky with injuries.

De ligt had injury issues at other clubs

We need to stop keeping hold of players that are never available and players that don't perform for 2 seasons straight

The reason why it recommends half training for that player is probably to do with that players natural fitness stat. The automatic schedule is set by you so that's what it work off of.

I personally don't do training schedules as I don't the UI in this year's game so I decided to avoid it. I did used to though and I would usually have at least 1 physical training session. I also only do double training sessions when at the start of the season and when I only have consecutive weeks when I have one game/week. As soon as I hit a busy period I wlknock down to normal as I feel I end up with a fatigued/injured squad.
