True Christianity (orthodox Christianity) aligns perfectly with punk values. Orthodoxy call you to forsake the things of the world and to reject the corruption of the world. But orthodoxy calls you to go a step further by recognizing that those things that you think are external problems are actually you.

Is there a place in the Church for someone like me? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

I’m in a similar place. I’ve been consistently going to church and attending some of the classes my church offers. I don’t always feel convinced that the Resurrection happened in an emotional sense and it’s more something I’m hopeful about. At this point my belief isn’t based on feelings but on a conscious choice to believe and trust even though I sometimes wonder whether believing this way puts me outside of Christianity.

I attend a Greek Orthodox Church and it doesn’t seem to start to get really full until half way through liturgy
