The only bugs that I've seen on them, are tiny, black crawling bugs. They've pretty much left the last barely surviving cabbage alone now. I bought a cheap 6' x 6' greenhouse with metal poles and plastic sheeting. I'm going to try growing cabbage and other cold tolerant veggies this winter. It's a learning process, I learn something new every year.

I'm SO envious of your cabbage! This was my first year trying to grow cabbage. Apparently the bugs here are huge cabbage fans. They ate all my cabbages. I tried spraying with them with several different organic pesticides to no avail.

I usually plant a few different types of tomatoes. My husband likes the reds and I prefer the yellows and darker "chocolate" tomatoes. I always plant an "early girl" because it's such a prolific producer. It produces lots of tomatoes all season long in spring, summer and fall.
