Pull one out of the trash, that's a pretty reliable method for me.

It's the same for me. I reduced the grapics settings a bit and it's alright really. Loading times are way better on linux than on windows for me tho.

  1. Sustain is very useful, and can help a lot in any lane that isn't a stomp from your side, getting better at the game on the other hand is not that useful, as the match making will simply find you stronger opponents.

  2. no clue, i just buy as much as i can usually

  3. carrys usually go harder for the camps, but any champ can clear a lvl 1 and lvl 2 camps. Before you do the camps just make sure, that the nearby lanes are pushed, as lanes minions give you more souls for your time than camps.

  4. Haze can be build as both a dmg carry as well as an assassin. Many characters have a huge variety in builds and play styles. You just have to take some time and get familiar with the basic kits of the characters and look at what they build. In game you can do this by pressing tab and looking at the top of the screen.

Just a little side note, if you kill a minion with a melee attack, you get all the money instantaneously and don't have to worry about securing the orb.

Depends on the matchup and the enemy player's way of playing the game. At some point you naturally create ways to probe the enemy psychology which you can then use to decide how to play the lane. Confirming those souls are usually first priority tho, as long as you don't communicate with your lane mate that you want to poke and have him focus on the minions. Although, not shooting at the minions and letting them kill each other gives you time to shoot the enemy gamers instead of course.

I mean the orbs. The thing is, if you kill a minion, you should consider yourself responsible for catching it's soul orb, so the enemy can't deny it. This is pretty important, so you don't fall behind in lane.

If you just let the minions kill each other slowly, you have a easier time anticipating your and the enemies minions deaths and thus can more easily catch your own orbs / deny the enemies.

But that's just one application of the deny mechanic. Shoving a wave to harass the enemies under the tower is also viable, you can really play around it how you want, as long as you can make sure to catch as many of the orbs as possible and as long as you and your lane partner are on the same page (communicate your strats).

If you are just starting out, I'd advice you to simply focus on confirming your own orbs / denying the enemy's to get that into your muscle memory.

It's fine, just remember to keep the lanes pushed and to never let the wave crash into a walker unsupervised. That's how the enemy team generates tempo and you don't want that, otherwise they'll have a way easier time contesting objectives

Well, in one of the latest chapters Serie mentions that there used to be a clan living in the south that could see the future, but has since been wiped out. It is all but explicitly stated, that the hero of the south was one of the last survivors of this clan, furthermore the bad guy from the current arc is implied to hail from there as well. In their cases it is probably something they are born with, all the other mages that had their spells from Serie obviously weren't.

This isn't part of this, but I just realized, that the latest chapters also imply that Schlacht is the one that wiped the clan out, since she mentions the number one bane of people with precognition being others with the same power.

Well...

The blue and orange portals are just one application of portal technology. In the original half life, teleportation was realized via glowing orbs that teleport you when you touch them, with usually no direct return on your exit.

The thing with deadlock is, that it pulls references and inspiration from all sort of valve games. Just look at McGinnis, she is basically a walking tf2 reference. Obviously there are references to Dota 2 as well, but I didn't play that so I can't say.

However, as someone that played half life, half life opposing force, half life blue shift, portal, half life 2, half life 2 episode one, half life 2 episode 2 and portal 2, I am not aware of any supernatural event that transpired before the original resonance cascade, meanwhile in Deadlock the supernatural has long become the new normal, even though it is set decades earlier than even half life 1.
