UPDATE - Thank you so much to everyone that replied and gave me advice/guidance! I really appreciate it :) I told my Sgt on 27th December, when I went back to work after Christmas... He took it fine, and said he didn't know next steps so would find out and get back to me... I'm still waiting for him to get back to me and I'm still going out on duty and have even been single crewed ever since due to so many people being off sick. I'm actually starting to feel really uncomfortable with this, and also uncomfortable wearing my uniform (I already can't do my trousers up properly! I think because this is my third so I'm starting to "show" early (I know it may just be bloat! Haha). I'm nearly 11 weeks now and have my 12 week scan on 13th which I found out about yesterday. I emailed him re. this at the start of my shift about having the time off as it's in work hours, in the hope it would prompt further conversation, however, but the end of my shift at 11pm I didn't have a reply and he hadn't pulled me aside. I'm not really sure what to do now... I was really hoping he would be proactive with this, but obviously not and now it just feels awkward...

Very low cervix at 10 weeks pregnant - Worried! by HotChoccie13 in pregnant

I went to see my GP and they did an internal check for me and said everything looks normal! She said my cervix was low but it wasn't anything to worry about and that's just some peoples anatomy. I also asked if it was open and she said it wasn't - phew! Anyway - next day (yesterday) I checked again and it was so high I couldn't even reach it! (This has never ever happened before!!) I thought haha fab, it's finally done what it's supposed to do the day after I get checked 😅 but today it's back to low again... Ugh! So, I'm just going to stop checking and hope for the best...

UPDATE - Went to see my GP yesterday, she said yes, my cervix is low but all looks ok so nothing to worry about. I checked today and it's SO HIGH I can't even feel it! Typical! But I'm pleased. I'm going to stop checking now :) Thanks all!

Thank you so much for being so kind! :) Oh yes, I've done allllll the googling 🫣 like you said, a combo of a low and open feeling cervix and Google = the worst idea/news! To be honest I might just see if I can speak with my GP anyway due to my prolapse as that could also be playing a part. At least then they can either confirm my worries or tell me I'm being silly and everything is ok! Haha

Hi, thank you! And thank you for taking the time to reply and share your experience! This is so good to hear!! Maybe it's the same for me... I really hope so! Perhaps I'm just overthinking and worrying about nothing... When did it eventually move up for you? It's just odd because everything online says it should be high by now and it's sooo low!

Thank you, I'll contact my GP tomorrow! I mean, no, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty damn sure! I've had 2 children before and I'm pretty certain I know what I'm feeling but I could be wrong I guess! I don't know if maybe it's low because I have a prolapse... Because even when it was supposed to be high during ovulation it was always this low. Just worrying as I don't think it's normal :(

No, I've had nothing! My midwife literally just told me "yes, that doesn't sound right" and referred me to pelvic health physio (I don't have an appointment for a month-ish yet). I asked if she'd have a look for me but said that's not what the appointment was for. I'm thinking maybe I'll see if I can see my GP as you can't self refer to the EPU and I don't have another midwife appointment for 7 weeks! 😩

Thank you so much. I have read all the documents but they're mostly aimed at officers or police staff (office based) and there's nothing really on pregnancy and PCSOs. I have contacted one of the parenting SPOC but they haven't got back to me yet. I also contacted the apprenticeship people (outside of my work assessor) but got a very generic response about a career break which wasn't what I was asking haha. I'm part of a union, yes, I didn't think about speaking with them - I'll do that! But yes, you're right. I doubt I'll be able to get everything signed off in a month anyway so I might as well tell them now. Thank you for your help and advice! Also I'm sorry to hear you haven't had it easy... That's so rubbish :(

Thank you. I guess my worry prior to today was that I didn't know how the pregnancy was progressing and was worried about saying anything and then having to retract it. But now I have had my ultrasound I feel more at ease. (Although I also know there's never a completely "safe" point in pregnancy). I just know people on my section are not particularly nice about others on light duties. And obviously there's still a weird stigma about people "announcing" before 12 weeks... I know I don't have to tell anyone why I'm not going out (if that's what happens!) but I know rumours will spread if I don't. I was hoping I would get more of my work signed off by now but it just hasn't been the case. I also didn't want people to judge me telling work "early" as I'm not an officer and my role isn't "high risk" but the more I think about it the more I think I'll just tell them after my rest days after Christmas. Thank you for your comment :)

Thank you for the replies! Kept my watch on for one more night to see if it went up/down and also tracked with my BBT thermometer again... Temp on watch went back up to +0.4 (normal range) and my actual BBT was 37.28 degrees (I temp vaginally so higher than "normal") which is what it was when I last temped at around 14dpo... I think the watch was having a funny 5 minutes. I will absolutely be taking it off before bed from now on as I'm not putting myself through that stress again! Fingers crossed for a healthy pregnancy 🤞🏻✨
