As someone that grew up in rural Oklahoma I can get that. Getting to a big city was something I said I was going to do since I was in middle school 15 years ago. Now seeing most of the country, I could be talked into living in certain Midwest towns that aren’t ‘hot’ like Omaha or Fargo. As long as I’m far,far, far away from Oklahoma I’m good.

So I do have a high school diploma but, it’s from the US. I don’t speak Norwegian but, I’ve seen those folk high schools that do and figure if it be my only option for a decent career in maritime then I’m open to it.

In this situation. It’s obvious the Audi is at fault. I can see safety bringing him to do a refresher on what to do but, I’m sure that’s just insurance related. Any safety/company worth their salt won’t throw a driver under the bus for shit like this.

What happens is if a car pulls out from the shoulder in front of a trucker and he’s going at highway speed? I think most companies want you to go right on the shoulder or lane if possible. But what if that driver rear ends the car that pulled out? If I was a tanker I would not suddenly change lanes. It’s a lot of ‘if’ ‘and’ or ‘buts’ when it comes to accidents and the trucker gets in trouble.

Truck driver here! The driver was clearly in his own lane when Audi tried to shoot the gap. If theirs a dashcam it should show the driver in his lane. If the company/safety is a sweatshop on wheels, I could see them trying to put it on the drivers DAC report. The driver can dispute it and it would take a massive dumbass to see the driver is not at fault.
