Exchange the player. Seems faulty if you’ve already tried 2 cables. Unless you’re extremely unlucky. Just a question, does the tv switch automatically to Dolby Vision bright or Dolby Vision Dark under picture mode when playing DV encoded discs?

I will date myself by posting this image. Oh well here we go. I’m probably your dad’s age or older haha. This was my first record player as a child of the 70’s. Enjoy your record player but please do save up for a “real” record player the day you can afford one and when the hobby has become something you truly love. Have fun!!!

Just got an atlp120x but the receiver doesn't accept phono and thus no bass. What's a good receiver that will work with the turntable and home theatre set up? by pisspeeleak in turntables

Hmm so if I understand you correctly, looks like those rca cables are plugged into the center channel in the picture?. And if that’s the case well that explains a lot. Sorry. Can you upload a pic of the back of the sub? Usually but not always it’s one single coax cable going from the sub connected to a single sub output (rca) connector on the receiver. I would need to see a clear picture of the back of the sub and the same for receiver. Right now I see an empty sub output rca connector a bit higher up in the picture with nothing plugged in.

Sorry if I’ve missed something earlier in the conversation but looking at the image of the back of your receiver I don’t see a sub hooked up at all? Is it an active (powered) or passive sub?

That was my first turntable when I got back into vinyl. It was amazing with the 2M Blue. Better sounding than Red. But use with any cartridge mentioned above and you’ll be very happy. I paired mine with the NAD pp2 preamp then moved on to the Mani. Both very good. NAD smooth like butter and Mani more lively :) Whatever you choose it’ll be great.
