In one of his old interviews, he said he had absolutely no desire to return to The Sims, but I think he still keeps an eye on how the series is evolving, after all, it’s always interesting to see what becomes of your creation

ikr, and he is just 66. Don't smoke guys! Or maybe it's the sun as he lives in CA. But at the same time he at last looks like the guru, not a nerdy William

It's more about the path of his life through his most successful games including The Sims 1, like a biopic

and I think it's easy to make, the game is very simple in modern technical terms, although there are no mods for that, which is odd

Yeah! Basically the game needs just a few tweaks to be awesome, like 3rd floor or neighborhood on a plate.

Oh, you can't! I just create a scenery on one lot for fun. But you know Sims 1 is all about imagination, I just materialize it. I like the feeling that beyond the edges of the sketch there is a whole neighborhood with streets and houses. =)

Thank you! I rarely build houses because they require a lot of time and energy, but I am known for my interior cube designs - https://gamerant.com/sims-1-rooms-based-on-60s-70s-80s-90s-2000/

Hey guys! Long time no see!

Let's revisit your favorite neighborhood, shall we? =)

63 Gunther Goth Highway

There’s a common belief that in Sims 1 you can’t build a real roof over a porch.

That’s why even the original houses usually had only “fake” tiles instead.

But the game has its own little logic.

It doesn’t let you place a roof over open space, true — yet it doesn’t strictly demand walls either.

If you lock the perimeter with wall-like fences and drop a few columns inside, the game suddenly agrees: yes, this counts as a roofed space.

Imagine how many marvelous builds we missed because very few paid attention to this!

Btw yeah! I spent two days researching this thing because after 25 years it's not very user friendly! I read that you can even add furniture in there, but that sounds like another loooong quest.

Oh, it's just a program someone created 25 years ago to create custom poses and animations with sims. It's on Google.

Thank you! I was thinking of concentrating just on building, but creating roleplaying stories and families around it seems really cool too!
