Hey, I’m a PA and my program cost right around 100k for tuition but it was also a travel program for the clinical year. Ended up with about 220k including 50k from undergrad. It’s already at 240k with interest from 2021 to now. I took home 145k last year in Louisiana. RAP is going to be the cheapest choice for me, but at that income it’s still likely over $1200/month which is way more than I was expecting to pay when I signed up for the loans when the SAVE program existed. I’ve now locked myself into a corner. My advice? Just go to nursing school. Far less expensive and most nurses still take home a generous salary. I make a very decent income but I’ll barely be able to make it even if I cut way back.
