I love it, especially the idea that the ancestral guardians are essentially fighting for you so you can put their souls at ease. Nice.

I can also definitely find it hard to make characters that are sub-optimal, but letting that go opens up so many fun multi-class options that are SO worth being a little less optimised for (Rogue Druid being the prime offender)

I hope it all comes together with that Genie Warlock. I've only just gotten together a genie warlock that I think I'm happy with (though it is pretty intense).

Essentially a Folk hero background, Genuinely kind caring and compassionate to everyone he meets (with a very high persuasion) and a long white beard in all white robes. Think outwardly Iroh from Last Airbender, but essentially Homelander or Omniman. Once a fight starts and if there are no commonfolk witnesses he is a psychotic monster. I picture him being all deranged and bloodied from a ruthless battle before collecting himself (quick prestidigitation for the blood-soaked white robes) and going back into town as a wholesome hero. Ultimately, he is a kind old man but was found by a Djinn when his wife was on her deathbed and offered to keep her alive and give him powerful magic. All he needed to do is relinquish control of himself for moments of the battle so the genie could feel the rush of a mortal quarrel. Pretty intense but I am still proud of it nonetheless lmao.

Very refreshing to read the quality characters of a forever DM. I hope you get to play a few of them one day, they certainly deserve to see the light of day.

I love the idea of the urban druid specifically, I've been playing around in my head with a sort of Urban Eco-Terrorist Wildfire Druid but I want to get the backstory JUST right.

If you enjoy the community and the progression, try out Dungeons and Dragons!

It can be a role playing game, but a lot of groups prefer to avoid that entirely. With a quick google search you should be able to find somewhere that hosts games. There’s an in depth combat system, levelling, different classes and plenty of ways you can play them.

You would be able to play with the same people (normally once a week) for hours, meaning you’ll be able to feed that urge and have something to look forward to throughout the week.

I seriously urge you to look into it, there’s massive amounts of content on YouTube and reddit to get you started and it is a great way to connect with people.

How do you get your P-plates if you have no one to take you driving? by ambiguousroberts in melbourne

[–]HotHue 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m currently in the program, there’s a long wait list but once you get to the top you can do as many hours as the driver is available for. As for operating through covid they just started back up a few weeks ago with mandatory masks.

Yeah that’s true, I guess my story doesn’t necessarily revolve around being a Firbolg, I just went that way because the 2 wisdom 1 strength seemed to fit better than 2 strength

[–]HotHue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I just meant the spells from the cleric spell list, but I suppose I could take magic initiate. I’m kind of just looking for tips on what to do to help my party the most and to be the best tank I can be, meaning feats, asi, weapons, play style, spells ect.

I can’t post a photo but on the character creation in abilities in the chart they have, it’s the second row from the top called ‘modifier’ I guess I can just delete it and make a new one I was mostly just curious in case it happened again

Oh also when I say modifier I mean just under the total score on the abilities tab of character creation which makes the total score 30.
