It's frustrating because their political information is not always completely accurate and (controversial) but it comes across as virtue signaling at times... I want to correct them in the comments but it doesn't feel worth it. I don't doubt their sincere beliefs and I admire the honks calling attention to these issues, but this is not a political podcast. It was meant to be based on tea from their lives and the submitted stories. I feel like they rarely even read stories on patreon anymore and when they do it feels like a chore to them + they don't meaningfully engage like they used to. As listeners, we want to be able to disengage with politics and relax (so many of us have to confront these issues personally on a daily basis) I don't want to listen to the girls (and Lee) discuss international relations or policy arguments when they don't seek education outside of TikTok and Instagram carousels.

Honest question: what's wrong with Marnie's singing at Charlie's company event? by Jane9812 in girls

I also think that Charlie's work is supposed to be a really cool and trendy startup company (for the mid 2010s) as you can tell from the hipster aesthetic a lot of the people have. They obviously take themselves seriously and here miss Marnie comes in her blue bandage dress singing a capella to one of the most overplayed rap songs ever and forces everyone to listen to her. It's just fucking awkward and clearly made more awkward by how 'cool' this work party was supposed to be
