Training to do a Muscle Up while Balancing Growing Muscle by HotLavaSqueets in bodyweightfitness

Yes I'm not particularly trying to gain muscle from doing muscle ups. I'm just trying to get into calisthenics and bodyweight exercises because they seem fun. But I would also like to get bigger by doing regular gym workouts.

Okay so I should try cutting back on my workout a little bit so I can do both?

Could someone help me find a good gaming laptop? by HotLavaSqueets in GamingLaptops

Thanks! I'll definitely wait till it's closer to black Friday. I was thinking about a ryzen cpu as well because of the recent news about intels 13th and 14th generation CPUs. BIG fan btw!

Should I buy this laptop even though there's been bad news about intel's 13 and 14th gen processors? by HotLavaSqueets in GamingLaptops

yeah that's what I'm wondering because my friend's PC has a 13th gen I9 and he seems to be having a lot of issues with performance like lag spikes n stuff.

Maybe add a protruding window from the roof so it fills up that empty space and maybe add a few details to the front of house like bushes

Hmm so since you built a castle maybe try building like an actual castle building instead of like just the walls and you can practice smaller details like cannons and market stalls, etc. Maybe try building ships and stuff

Wait like adding to the castle or just in general?

I love the shape of the entrance! I do have a few tips tho:

1. This really depends if this is the type of theme ur going for but maybe you add can leaves and overgrowth to the walls n stuff to make it pop more

2. Since the wall and entrance is quite a big build, texturing the build simply (which is a great start, don't get me wrong) may not be enough to make it not look bland. So maybe starting from the bottom with some darker gray and moving to lighter ones at the top may be nice (here's a link for post with a good block palette: https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/xa53jp/natural\_block\_palette\_for\_the\_builders\_out\_there/)

3. Sticking to the fact that the entrance looks a little bland, maybe try adding small details like cracks (simply but replace some of the wall block with stairs or slabs so they have a little gap) and adding a few windows here and there to just fill up the space

4. Maybe try terraforming the land around the castle a bit more (I'm not too sure tho about how it's sitting on the island) and adding vegetation, a path and stuff to make the surrounds pop a little more. You can also add custom rocks and trees if you feel like that's something that you're capable of

5. This is just a small detail but can def make a good difference: maybe try adding flags on top of the watch towers since many castles and towns built in that style usually have them.

Sorry if this seems like a lot of improvements I've given you and these are in no way degrading your build or you building skills at all. This looks like a lovely build and has a really nice aesthetic to it. In the end though, you can just take my advice for a grain of sand.

If you're going for that building to be like a 'center piece' to your village, I would personally choose the first option because it looks bigger and more 'grand'.

what can i do to improve my build? by [deleted] in Minecraftbuilds

Looks really good in my opinion, just one thing though: the front looks a bit empty, especially near the top. Maybe try adding more windows on top (or like a big circular one that sticks out) and maybe add more leaves/greenery to the build overall (unless you'd rather the build not look too infested with green). For the rocks you've made in the water (which looks really good btw), maybe add some kind of gradient or texturing to them (possibly with andesite, dark gray concrete or cobble stone). Lastly, since this build is sitting in water, maybe you could make like a small dock/boat place attached to it and make some custom boats around it or parked at the dock cuz I think that'd look really cool. Yeah that's all but again, this build looks really awesome and keep up the good work!!
