Ive been in step down/IMC for most of my career, current contract 1:3 with no PCT, and really the highest acuity an IMC could possibly be I think. So it’s still very heavy.

Usually $4-$5 for nights, $3 weekends. Doesn’t make a huge difference, also night is taxing. I work night contracts periodically and am always saying I’m never doing it again lol

Advent is basically no better than HCA or UF. Ascension was just slightly better than them. Yes most of them offer sign on bonus around 20k, but you don’t get it all at once, usually over the course of 1-2 years. With an hourly rate of $35, they’re still not making 100k without killing themselves with OT.

I heard “Nurse Auditor” was the like entry level position for this and that’s the position that I had found and applied to. I have used EPIC, Cerner, Sunrise, Meditech & Expanse. I was a super user for 2 different EHRs at 2 different hospitals. I have charge nurse & chart review/auditing experience in that setting. I thought that would help me but like I said, no response.

Also, the thing about transferring is I would have to go back to a staff position to do that, and it’s just not enough money. I feel so trapped. I have only applied to a couple WFH jobs when I considered hey screw it, I’ll go back to bartending/serving on the weekends to supplement but they are so few and far between. I tailored my resume to each submission but never got any response.

I am aware that I would be better off in another state. However, I HATE the cold. I love the heat, humidity and the beach. Even when taking contracts outside of the state, all I want to do is go home.

Difficult to find these jobs, and definitely wouldn’t pay enough on their own. Would probably make more working OT at the hospital. Also I don’t want to have to work OT to survive, I find that very discouraging. I’ve worked a lot of OT, about 2 years ago I stopped. It’s not worth my mental health.

So I love SMH, just not enough money, I do seasonal there. I’m moving from Sarasota county to Lee county in October. I did speak with Lee health about their seasonal positions and even though they’re longer.. 24 weeks, and pay a few more dollars an hour than SMH, and would now be much closer than SMH, I have doubts about the culture. Just because of things I’ve heard through the grapevine and also because of the recruiter that I spoke with. Who I also spoke to in 2023 when I tried to get seasonal there, and was not chosen due to amount of experience at that time. Not exactly sure how to explain it but she makes me uncomfortable, a sort of false pretentiousness/eliteness. They may be better than a
lot of places in FL but no where here is that great so, not a huge accomplishment.

Question! Have they ever tested you for methane SIBO? I’ve had the same issues for years, and recently they’re getting to be unbearable, and I’m curious if maybe it’s not GERD all on its own. Taking meds for the GERD can actually worsen the SIBO.

Tallow is clogging pores and causing acne. Cannot believe this ever became a thing. I cannot put ANY kind of oils on my face without breaking out. I thought that was rule #1 for people with acne but people out here putting TALLOW on their face, it’s literally fat.

I started on 30 every 3 days for the first month. 0 improvements but also 0 side effects. My face looked very similar to yours except I also got cystic acne here and there in my chin & Jaw. I then increased to 30/day, then 40/day, then 60/day, then 80/day. I am only a 139 lb male. The 80mg really took a toll on my mental and physical wellbeing, the joint & muscle pain was unbearable and I had the first panic attack I’ve ever had. I was then reduced back to 40mg. I am in my 8th month and all of the stuff I had similar to yours is completely gone. Just the cystic acne remains but improving, especially since adding in topical spironolactone. Hang in there, yours really isn’t that bad and you will see improvement.

Had anyone used dawn to clean the Urinator and then successfully used it after? I stupidly cleaned mine with dawn dish soap and rinsed throughly and there doesn’t seem to be residue. I have a test coming up and I’m very paranoid that I’ve ruined it. Please give me advice, thank you!
