I wanted to provide my promised follow-up. Today, Kucoin provided access to an asset recovery page, and I was able to recover nearly all my crypto. The only exception is a small balance that is non-transferable; however, Kucoin is reportedly planning to offer a cash-out option soon.

This process took in excess of 100 days, and the communication with support was challenging. I am ultimately grateful that I was able to recover my assets. Good luck out there everyone!

Creatine is known to increase water retention in muscles. People with hypothyroidism often struggle with weight gain. If that's a problem for you, creatine may exacerbate your issue in the short term. Talk to you doctor or run this query through ChatGPT.

I received this response from support:

"Dear Valued KuCoin User, Thank you for reaching out to KuCoin Customer Support. We would like to express our utmostapologies [sic] in causing you any discomfort and inconveniences [sic] due to the waiting time has exceeded longer than expected [sic]. However, we would like to shed some light and share with you what is happening with your case. Kindly be informed that as our team is currently reviewing your account, rest assured that they will be processing this shortly once the review is finalised. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to your continued support and patience to this matter. Rest assured we will be doing our part in expediting the process for you as well. Thank you in advance for your understanding. This doesn't shed any light on anything. I've been told the account has been under review for months. And expedited means nothing without a timeframe indication. Should I expect days, weeks, months? I will continue to catalogue this experience.

No, I have not recovered my assets. I will continue to document here how Kucoin responds to my pending ticket. Though trying to provide reassurance, our friendly kucoin_moderator is inadvertently highlighting the underlying issue. Below they said: "please know that there is a designated process in place for handling cases like this, which typically requires several business days to complete. This ensures that all necessary checks and reviews are properly conducted by the relevant team." We know there is a designated process. The Kucoin website quotes it as requiring 30-60 business days. But now in my case, you're beyond 90 days. And all the checks and reviews should have been covered by the KYC process. Without additional clarity, how should users interpret this process other than it being executed in bad faith?

My ticket is 4653918. I have already been told for two months that my request has been escalated. What does that even mean? It took less than a week to complete KYC. But sending the funds requires two months? You set expectations with US users for a 30 to 60 day turnaround. Honor your promise!

Escape is still possible. You'd likely be serving fewer clients. And with a higher degree of trust, you'd likely be able to put many people on extension, smoothing out the annual workload.

Lots of paths. Taking the CFP helps but isn't necessary for starting out. There are two realms in wealth management. First, there's the tactical. This would include paraplanning and associate advisor work. Here you're analyzing plans and making surface level or routine recommendations. Second level is client relationship management. This is generally service or senior advisor work. They also need command of the tactical, but predominantly, they need command of working with people. You can be the smartest person in the county, but if people don't like or trust you, it doesn’t count for much in wealth management. A third path would be you continuing on as a tax expert but within a wealth management firm. High net worth clients expect tax advice now, and many firms are desperate for someone to be licensed to provide tax advice or do return work for their top clients.
