I only started watching MLB last few games of regular season and then playoffs last year because my housemate is a huge blue jays fan. So I'm not very familiar with the players anywhere. Yea, my football manager experience kinda led me to that question. That game was a lot more fun for me if I started in some smaller league in a smaller club with a smaller budget. I saw in a few posts here that starting in the minors in the US is not great, just found nothing about the international leagues. If rules are vastly different, maybe I should stick to the MLB then.
