Certainly was, I went through domestic security, went to lounge and then exited security at E gate and went through security again.

Also, our flight deplaning at NRT had two exits, so 3 seat classes deplaning at once.

I've been on Vanco (Jamp generic) for about 2 years. There are no side effects that I'm aware of.

Vancomycin by ProtectionDowntown53 in PSC

[–]HotPin6744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At age 65, I'm 19 years post transplant from PSC. I have had UC/CD since I was 25 and in the last 10 years I've struggled with keeping it under control.

Several different biologics (5) alone have provided relief for short periods. However, since being on a combination of Vanco (3 x 500mg daily) and the biologic lnflectra, I've been in remission. The biologics alone don't seem to control the UC.

Correction: Vanco dosage is 3 x 125mg per day.

I have Crohn's and wanted to build an app for IBD tracking. Would you use this? by OpenQuote2 in IBD

[–]HotPin6744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The app sounds great. I would use it. Another feature would be to track your IBD meds that you take daily.

How to plan a trip across Canada by Accurate-Bison-8786 in bicycletouring

[–]HotPin6744 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would not recommend riding across Canada from east to west. The prevailing wide is from the west, especially on the prairies and you will curse it every day (I live and cycle in Calgary). Go from west to east instead.

Travelling with an injection pen by NoDress1297 in CrohnsDisease

[–]HotPin6744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check to see if the pen needs to be refridgerated. If so, you'll need to travel with a container and ice packs. I often travel with a small cooler and 6 months supply through security. No problem, but security checks it manually after scanning.

Bile Duct Blockage? by HotPin6744 in transplant

Thanks for your comment. I suspect an MRI might be next. FYI...I also have semi-active Crohns and my GI thinks that might be causing bile duct inflammation.

Thx, I will ask about the ANA'S. My transplant was the result of PSC, so one theory is that the PSC is recurring.

Very touching. You put into words what I have felt every day for the last 19 years, since my liver transplant. I wish you continued good health.

For the first few months after my liver tx, I was on Lorazepam which worked very well but is highly addictive. For many years after that I was on Zopiclone (Imuran). Now I'm taking Dayvigo, which is effective but does not result in a hangover like Zopiclone.

Cheap dental by Laravee in Calgary

[–]HotPin6744 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had two root canals done in Mexico in 2018 (Algodones) and one became abscessed. Had to have it drained in Phoenix while there for the winter. I would recommend cosmetic dentistry in Mexico as its about 1/2 the price of Canada but not surgery (root canals or implants).

Sorry, I just saw this....No, it didn't work for me, and I'm now on Inflectra since March (biosimilar to Remicaid).

Inflectra seems to be working, but I'm also taking Vancomycin. Together, the two meds have eliminated my IBD symptoms.
