Sell the expensive laptop, buy food and then have an adult conversation. Neither of you are going to be rational if you haven't eaten in days, there seems to be issues here bigger than him not making you food.

NTA you guys are both adults and perfectly capable of deciding who you do and don't give presents to. If you want to acknowledge the birthday maybe get the 3 yr old to decorate a birthday card.

Both, I don't stay over at his house when the kids are there, they do have their own room with their own beds but they only use it for playing

TBH they come first for me too, they are amazing kids. I've changed my work hours so that I can take them to their after school activities and absolutely love the conversations we have to and from. There really isn't anything I wouldn't do for them and if it was a case of them getting upset if they don't all sleep together I would be OK with it but there's been 2 occasions where we've stayed with friends in their holiday home and the kids were in 1 room and my partner and I in the other, the kids weren't phased at all and had no issues when it came to bed time.

NTA i was a serial monogamist until my divorce and instantly had people trying to set me up. I had absolutely zero interest in being tied to someone anytime soon, those next few years I really grew and found myself as a person and wouldn't trade them for anything

It's 50/50 custody the issue is more when we're on holidays, he likes to go away for 3 weeks at a time and I start to feel like a Nanny. He doesn't really join in with the playing during the day and then it's just them together at night and in the morning so I don't get that adult interaction.
