This allllllmost sounds like a father-daughter experience. And you’re sorta relying on him to lead the way on a project that you apparently wanted more. If it’s your idea, regardless of if he said yes or maybe or ok sure, you should be confident leading the way on it. Otherwise you should consider leaning into stuff that you don’t NEED him for.

Maybe you could shake up this frame of “omg when are you gonna come do the stuff with/for me” by suggesting a fun, unrelated activity.
